Mini Olympian

Tonight was Gavins last night of soccer for the session, and he had the best time out of all the weeks. He ran his little heart out, all over the field, and he listened to coach very well tonight. Not quite sure how to put this in so i will just do it. My Grandmother, more affectionatly known as Grandma Babe, passed away this afternoon. It was very expected but still something to grieve over. Mom and Dad decided to come to soccer anyways, i think it was the best thing for them. Colin loved all over Papa which i think was the best medicine. Children seems to know these things and i think Colin has a good sense of these things. Gavin had all 4 of us out there with him, well alternating between us. It was such a fun night!! At the end of his class they usuallly get stickers and stamps, and since tonight was the last night Gavin got a gold medal, yes a MEDAL!!! He thinks he is the best soccer player EVER, and well we do too. Of course until Colin plays... Anyways just had to share this picture, he is so proud!

Room buddies

Last Saturday we decided to put the boys in Gavins room to share. Well we decided this quite awhile ago, but finally thought this was the right time. It has gone great, they love it. Naps are the best they talk for just a little while and then straight to sleep. But the night time is something different, they talk to eachother for about an hour before they go to sleep, it is really quite cute, but hard because we know they should have been asleep a half an hour ago. i think it will work it self out, hopefully! When we moved them on Saturday the first time they were in there was for their nap. We heard Colin talking himself to sleep, and then we heard Gavins little voice saying "lay down Colin" "lay down" it was so sweet. It seems to have brought them a little closer.

Hey Brother

We ahd sat down for lunch yesterday and Colin ate good like he normally does, but then got really mad. He kept saying "down" "down" so i cleaned him up and let him down. He walked right over to where his brother was sitting, reached up and started eating some of his brothers lunch. Gavin thought this was very fun so he helped feed Colin, which got very entertaining!

On other notes, I decided to sit down with Gavin yesterday and see how many letters he knows. I still am not 100% so we were home again yesterday. So i wrote a letter in big marker and asked him what it was. He knows 20 letters, i couldnt believe it. He just spouted them out. So we are wrking on the others right now, and he sings the alphabet song he just leaves out some parts, but it is so cute. Colin has found his favorite book and now says "book" he LOVES Goodnight Moon. So we read it about oh, 15 times a day. I almost dont want to write this, but i had a "Steel Magnolia" moment this morning. If you remember in the movie when Julia Roberts wants to make things easy and gets her hair cut short and then hates it, well thats me:( Lately all i do is put my hair up and i was sick of it, so i wanted to get it cut shorter, so when she was done, i smiled said thanx got in the car called Jason and said Crap i HATE it. Well i went home toke a shower and fixed it. It was the way she had styled it, wow it was bad. But now that i did my own thing, it doesnt look nearly as bad. It is still something i have to get use to, but i think it will be ok. So if you see me, Please be kind!

sick sick sick

Yes it has been awhile since i have written, we have ALL been sick here off and on and well i am just a little worn out. I guess you could say Jason started it he got a sinus infection and then ruptured both of his eardrums (wow that seemed very painful) then both the boys got some sort of cold, and Gavin seems to be getting over it, but Colin never got any better so back to the doc we went. It turns out Colin got a sinus infection and an ear infection, so he is on meds for that and seems to be doing much better. Then i got it and am sniffling it up right now, hopefully it will pass soon. Most of all i am just really tired. So keep your fingers crossed that all of us can finally be over all of it, and be normal again, it seems like it has been forever. On a fun note Colin justs keeps spouting out new words, and Gavin keeps getting more independent every day! We are just so proud of these boys.
