Happy Easter

It was a perfect weekend!!! Sat we started at a local church and watched a puppet show which the boys loved, then the church had an Easter egg hunt at the park in our neighborhood. When we got to the park they told us there were 20 eggs per child, we couldnt believe it, i mean not fighting for eggs just plain ol fun! Gavin thought this was the coolest thing ever, of course he didnt know there was candy in the eggs, then it was like heaven. Colin took a little bit but once he caught on he was after them all, there was no stopping him!
Then we colored our own eggs, that was a blast! Colin thought they were all balls to play with so that made it interesting. And Gavin thought it was amazing that the eggs shanged colors.

On Easter day we went to church in the morning then home for a nap. After mthe boys got up my brother and nephew came over as did mom and dad. They hid the eggs and the boys with baskets in hand were ready to go again. after the hunt we sat down for a good hame dinner with a whole bunch of laughs. It was such a fun day!! These boys make holidays so much more fun.

we will survive...i think

Yes oh yes Gavin is 2, i know i have said this before but the last 3 days have been the most extreme. He is testing everything, trying to figure out how to act and what he can get away with. I always thought that when children are 2 it is the most important time in their little childhood it is when they learn just how far they can go. And generally what is right from wrong. I know that this will ALWAYS be a test somehow, but they really learn the politics of life at this time. So it is hard to figure out how to discipline him and teach him right now, knowing that so much is ridding on this stage. He tries so hard to be good you can just see in him that he is not sure how to act. Colin on the other hand is at this really cool stage, he wants to sing songs and do the motions to them and he is just so easy going. He is so fun and playful and now he likes to give kisses, one of my favorites. And baby #3 is doing good, just moving along.

Downhill things are better...

It snowed a little last night, and off and on today, and it was really cold. We decided to take the boys sledding with Grandma and Grandpa of course! We have a great hill at Cottonwodd park that is close to us. So we got the boys bundled up...
They were so cute, Colin could have done a commercual for Michelin. He was so puffed up. So off we went i stayed at the bottom of the hill, for one because i cant sed pregnant and for two so i could take pictures. They hiked up the hill and the rest was history they havent had that much fun in a while. We didnt stay to long though since the snow kept coming harder, but it was all worth those smiles!
For an update on Gavin and the potty training he is doing great, i mean really, sometimes we have little set backs but all and all he is awesome, doing just great! Colin is trying so hard to talk but is getting there, he is such a cool kid! Stella well shes a puppy, crazy as ever, but doing really well getting adjusted Tuf is really happy to have someone to play with.

Potty Potty Potty

Yep that is all we do anymore, POTTY! Friday night Gavin asked to go potty and like he has before (and never done anything) we sat him on the potty, sure enough HE WENT!! So we threw a party like there was no tomorrow, he was so proud. Saturday was a little crazy, so we didnt try anymore. Sunday came and we went full force started out with underwear and never looked back. He did AWESOME, just took right to it, like it was no big deal we have had a couple of accidents along the way but really i think we have only had 2 accidents in 2 days. He is just amazing, he now tells us when he has to go and waits till he gets there to go!! WWOOOOHHHOOO, now the last thing we have to do before baby is born is get Colin into a toddle bed and move the crib back into the 3rd bedroom.

Guess what there is even more potty time...

We got a new puppy on Sunday afternoon, Jason works with a guy and his dog had puppies, so we went to look, and of course we couldnt leave without one. So yes we have a 7 week old cute as can be puppy. Her name is Stella, and he mom is a Australian Shepherd mix, and we dont know who the dad is so she is a mutt. So yes we are house breaking her. The boys fell in love and she feels the same, she follows them around, and they follow her. Gavin has really taken to her, and Colin still kinda thinks shes a toy he can pick up and play with. When anyone comes through the door Colin stands next to Stella and points to her to show her off.

expression

it has been a long couple of weeks, i cant seem to kick this tired feeling. I guess that is how things go though, so my apologies for not keeping up. We have recently started a gym class for the boys, with some friends of ours. It is kind of a trampoline gym, they just love it. It so much fun since they get to do it together, usually they are in different age classes. We get to do that every Saturday!! Grandma and Papa decided to get the boys an art easel just for fun.
Oh my goodness they just love it, one side has dry erase and the other is a chalkboard, then there is paper you can pull over the paint or color on. We finally got some paints, and this was the outcome...

As you can tell Colin wasnt very intrested in the paint but still loves the chalkboard!! Colin has finally hit 20 pounds he is at 20.3lbs he is just a skinny little thing like his Dad, who i both have to say eat like horses, not quite sure that is fair:) Gavin is right at 30 pounds, just perfect for his height. Gavin is showing us how much he is 2 right now, but he is still such a good kid. He is just trying to figure out his independence. Colin is really trying to talk more, and is running faster and faster. Jasons job is going very well for him as is mine, so all in all we are GREAT!!!
