I think they like him

turtles and fish and water... oh my!

We went back to Fox run last weekend for more adventures, we started at the ponds and, oh wow, there were turtles in the pond, Colin's favorite! They are pretty skidish so we didnt get to get real close, but they thought this was SO COOL!!!

Then we walked all around the park, Gavin saw porcupines, altough you might know them as pinecones, we got a big kick out of that! The boys loved hiking through the woods we had quite an adventure, looking at each stick and rock and bug on the way. Then we found the playground, it was like the day couldnt have gotten better for the boys, cute enough they found a seesaw.
We started our treck back to the ponds where we had started, on the way Colin picked up a rock oh i think about every 2 inches or so. Once his hands got to full one would drop out and a new would go in. We all know he loves rocks but this was a bit much, but i let him do his thing. The second he saw the ponds he souts "water water" runs right to the edge and puts his rocks down very carefully and throws each one individually in the water. i had no idea when he was picking them up he had his own idea on what he was going to do! This was the cutest thing i think i have seen.

Right before we left we walked by the last pond and we spotted fish, gold fish, (as Gavin reminded us, it was just like his snacks) there were people there feeding them, they were nice enough to let us share and the boys got to feed them as well. So i think overall outdoors are the place for us!! Oh and Nolan simply slept the entire time i think he liked the fresh air as well!! Here are some more pictures...

day at the park

for Jasons birthday we decided to go to Fox Run park instead of a restaurant, whats better for a 3 year old a 2 year old and a newborn than wide open space!! It was a blast we thought as we were driving up there in the pouring rain that this may not be a good idea, but we kept on. We got up there and the rain had just stopped! So we went in search for a pavillion that was not in use, and we were in luck we found one!! So we hung out for awhile, had ourselves a little picnic and ice cream cake and some presents. It was so relaxing. Then it was off to the playground, there was big puddles everywhwere, the boys were in heaven!! And yes we let them get drenched, we thought why not. I mean they were soaked, from head to toe, with the biggest smiles you have ever seen. We had to strip them down to underwear and diaper and wrapped up with a blanket for the ride home. We came home to get the boys in the bath and then they got to stay up to watch the opening games for the Olympics, they were glued to the TV, it was pretty entertaining. They went to bed about 8:30, then close to about 9:30 we heard what sounded like fireworks, so off we went out the front to see what the heck was going on. Well the new hospital up the road from us was having an opening ceremony of their own. Huge fireworks for at least a half an hour!! What a perfect end to Jasons Birthday!!

Bathtime

I know this is no suprise, most babies are the same, but Nolan LOVES his bath!! He would sit in there all day if we let him. And he really loves when his big brothers help. Speaking of which, he really adores his brothers you can really tell. He calms right down if he hears their voices, i love seeing all of them have this bond. Nolan has also decided he is going to be very picky, just like both of his brothers, so i have to be VERY CAREFUL on what i eat, if i am not his is REALLY uncomfortable, which is really hard to see. So far he is still a great baby!

haircuts

today was haircut day at our house! Jason always goes first so the boys see its not that bad. Then its Gavin's turn he is always a champ, just sits right through it. And talks to me as a little adult would. Then Colin goes last, and i usually use scissors with him. Jason and Gavin get the electric clippers. We have so far thought Colins hair was not ready for the clippers, it might look like he is bald. We decided today that he was ready for the clippers. Colin does not always do so well getting a haircut he usually cries most of the way through it, well not with the clippers. He sat there like a champ, we are so proud of him!! And speaking of being proud Gavin has now gone 7 WHOLE DAYS without any sort of an accident!!
